Attorney Bios

Joseph M. ArnoldJoseph M. Arnold
Mr. Arnold served with distinction as a Sergeant with the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.  Mr. Arnold received his Associate's degree from Fresno City College and also receoved a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Business Management from Fresno Pacific University.  Upon attending law school, Mr. Arnold graduated near the top of his class, receiving his Jurist Doctorate degree from San Joaquin College of Law.

Since graduating, Mr. Arnold has litigated several high profile cases, including Pinto v. City of Visalia, Cross Church v. The Men’s Society, several other complex and litigious cases that have been heard at the appellate level and one that was brought to the attention of the California State Supreme Court.

Mr. Arnold is an active member in good standing of the California State Bar Association, the Fresno County Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California Public Defender’s Association.

After working with the District Attorney’s Office and as an Associate with a much respected labor law firm, Mr. Arnold opened his own practice, where his litigation experience and expertise have been in very high demand.  Mr. Arnold has been asked to litigate cases throughout California; however, his main practice is in Fresno County and its surrounding counties.

Mr. Arnold has built a successful law firm by being compassionate to the causes of his clients, aggressive in seeking justice on their behalf and available to communicate and address the client’s concerns.

Tres PorterTres Porter
Mr. Porter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness from California San Luis Obispo University.  Mr. Porter also holds his Jurist Doctorate degree from San Joaquin College of Law, having graduated near the top of his class.  Mr. Porter has been a practicing attorney in a top Fresno civil litigation law firm for several years prior to joining our firm.  Mr. Porter specializes in probate, estate planning, family law and civil litigation.

Mr. Porter is also a farmer in our area, growing grapes for the California wine industry.  Mr. Porter's experience and down-to-earth personality make him an invaluable asset to the firm.

 

Cathy PickruhnCathy Pickruhn
Ms. Pickruhn has over twenty years of experience as a legal assistant, working for several top-rated law firms throughout her career.  She specializes in the areas of family law and civil litigation.  Her talents have been much sought after in the legal community as she has been responsible for training several paralegals currently working in the Central Valley area.

 

Kerry Van BurenKerry Van Buren
Ms. Van Buren is the office manager and the person responsible for keeping the day to day operation of our law firm on track.  Ms. Van Buren has several years of experience in the management sector, having been a small business owner for a number of years.  Additionally, Ms. Van Buren has a number of years experience in both the management of a law firm and other professional corporations.

 

Michael ArnoldMichael Arnold
Michael is our law clerk and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Fresno State University.  Michael is currently in his last year of law school and currently holds the position of certified law clerk in our office.  Michael is gaining valuable experience working at the law firm, while under the watchful eye of Mr. Arnold.

 

Marie NicasioMarie Nicasio
Ms. Nicasio is a very valuable asset to the law firm as she handles much of the communications between the Superior Court Clerk’s office and our office.  Ms. Nicasio handles a multitude of office responsibilities, including making sure our clients' concerns are met.
